1.9.4 announcement
Edit : we've been able to build the packages quite fast so we should be able to release the 1.9.4 version on next saturday the 6th of june :-)
Hi all,
Some of you know that we worked hard on 1.9.4 to definitely improve hit registration. We are really proud to announce that it is something that we finally succeed to do by rewriting the netcode AND hitreg meaning that promod has now its own specific algorythm.
1.9.4's hitreg is offering a huge step forward to the deathmatch experience under source engine.
Also, as requested in forum, we make promod compliant with
Hurricane Bots system so that you'll be able to fight in case you don't find any opponents.
We're now able to announce that 1.9.4 will be released on monday 8th, June.
PS: special thanks go to [S-UK] and [AgC] clans who allowed me to test hitreg in real conditions.

Map : pg_q3dm6
Hi all,
I randomly discovered 2 weeks that's an exact remake of Q3DM6 from Quake Arena was released a year ago by saucyboy. Layout is exactly the original one as well as textures. It is incredible to see quality of this remake. The problem is that this remake was never completed meaning that jump pads were ot running properly.
RATI and I decided to review this map and adapt it to promod by:
- fixing jump pads
- creating a jumppad model
- using of instantjumppad trigger of HL?DM Pro to make them as reactive as they have to be
- creating a weapon spawn base models kipping Q3 spirit
- reviewing weapons and items locations
- using of weapon rotating feature of HL?DM Pro
We would have make this map less dark but we failt. Anyway, it stays a very good remake.

1.9.3 Released !!!

After a long period we are finally proud to announce release of 1.9.3 which is immediately available in our download section. Use the version that better match your needs.

Map : pg_winterchill
Hi all,
FENIX (a member of our forum) released a remake of Q3 CPMA called pg_winterchill. He worked hard on it to make it compliant with HL2 and promod gameplay.
He keeps its original spirit (textures) and applies HDR, cubemap... on them to make them as good as possible using source capabilities.
We are thinking in adding it in our 1.9.3 installation package as first feedback are very good. Anyway, you can already get it from our maps download section or use this direct access.
Also, we already upload it to our server in Verygames server so that you can immediately fight in it.

AGMerkezi
Hi all,
Here is a news about one of the biggest AG community in the world called AGMerkezi.
AGMerkezi is a turkish community composed of dozens of active players playing HL1/AG. They were not aware of Promod even if they were dreaming of such a mod. When they finally heard about it, Expert got in touch with us and proposed to help us in following domains:
- supporting us by increasing the players base
- creating tournament
- tuning a gameplay which could really fit what AG players are waiting from a AG2 mod
- creating models for gauss and egon
- creating animations for long jump and gauss jumping
- identifying bugs to be fixed like rpg rocket being able to be stolen
It is really a good news for us. Few changes have been reported by them and are still under testing in 1.9.3.
They are identified as partner of HL2DM Pro and we really expect you will like the result of their first action which is relative to the gameplay tuning and which will be in 1.9.3.

Weapon balance tuning
Hi all,
We need your HELP. As you know, new netcode is so efficient that it has a huge impact on weapon balance meaning that now weapon balance is not really satisfying. It is why we are requesting your help. We need a player point of view.
As you all know, you can tune your own gameplay by creating a custom gameplay where you can specify all features : damages, spread, armor ratio, headshot factor... (F11--GamePlay SDK)
Can some of you try to create their custom gameplay they found being the best for them ? In case you don't have a server, send me a pm and I 'll give you rcon password of one of my servers so that you can use it for that purpose.
Name your custom gameplay with your nickname so that I know who did the gameplay.
A thread to discuss this subject has been created in here.
We really need you to make promod again better. Thank you in advance.

HL2DM Pro 1.9.2 released

To all. we've found a bug that can make the server crashes in very specific conditions. The fix is server side as well as client side. We ask every one who has installed v1.9.2 to reapply the "Patch 1.9.1 to 1.9.2" that you can find here. Of course, you don't have to go back to v1.9.1. Just reapply the patch.
To all server owners, apply the patch that you can find here. In fact we've just replaced the initial patches with the new fixed ones. Sorry for the inconvenience. That's a bug that was very difficult to catch.
Note : If you have downloaded the patch after 18:30 (CET), then you don't need to reapply the patch.

We are very happy to announce that you can download the new version of our mod.

As said in the previous news, this version does include the new netcode. We've been testing it for a week or so. All feedbacks were really good so we've decided to make it ready to the public. This is truely a major step for the development of this mod. The hit registration is way better. It improves the player experience by far.
Everything is a matter of skill. Don't blame the netcode anymore : if you miss one shot, then you are solely responsible for that.
Go get it and let's fight !!!
PS : and it's not even christmas :-)
