1.8.3 Released
Hi all,
After a long month we finally released 1.8.3 which is fixing few bugs. You can download Patch or Full version from our download section .
1.8.3 Changes log
. Fixed : when starting a server in "Original HL2MP", entities reserved to "Pro" gameplay (long jump, gauss) were present
. Fixed : invisible "suicide" icon
. Fixed : in "Original HL2MP" we shouldn't hear stepsounds when practicing ducked bunny hopping
. Fixed : weapon deployment animation not played when spawning
. Fixed : server was unstable while running Fugitive game mod
. Fixed : in Arena, Instant Gib, Tourney and Football, entities like doors, jump pads... could not work properly
Server owners must upgrade their servers as soon as possible.

. Added : advanced hit registration routine making it more efficient (it can be deactivated by admin or by setting cvar pg_sv_enhancedhireg to 0). Please note that it superseeds algo from Valve.
. Added : new trigger_pushinstant for instant jump pads
. Added : ability for an admin to transform trigger_push to instant trigger_push so that trigger_push acts like trigger_pushinstant

. Fixed : no more flickering animation while RPG is reloading after switching from a weapon to it
. Fixed : textures/models error when using "Server Settings" capability
. Fixed : possible server crash when players were leaving during a tourney in gamemod Tourney
. Fixed : possible war with only one player when a player quit in gamemod Tourney
. Fixed : when moving very fast and holding orb, it can kill launcher (if allowed) just after launching it |
We forgot to mention in this Changes log that "impulse 51" exploit is fixed (of course).

PS: Server owners must upgrade their servers as soon as possible.
EDIT: It was reported that suicide icon was not displayed anymore. Here is an easy fix: copy this file in your "hl2dmpro/scripts" folder. Sorry for the inconvenience.

GIGA TV movie is arrived
As specified in our previous news, HL2DM Pro has been presented by DismanTL and team Storm in a german video game chanel during 30 minutes.

Pro on GIGA TV
Hi all,
Sunday 30.03.08 at 23:00CET, a demonstration will be done in GIGA TV .
GIGA TV is a german TV chanel dedicated to video games. All german can see it Live. Foreigners can also look at this live going in www.giga.de/live and clicking in "Start Stream Media Player".
Special thanks to meGa who succeeds to convince GIGA TV to have a look at our trailer and finally accpet to make this event. And other special thanks to Rijuu who succeeded to convince meGa to take care of HL2DMPro. And final thanks to dismantl who will drive to GIGA TV studio in Koeln to comment.

Fixed done : 1.8.1 is working fine
Hi,
Great news, Valve (Mike Durand in charge of the Source SDK) reacts very fast to my request and just released a fix. No need to wait 1.8.2 as MountFileSystem is now working perfectly.
1.8.2 will be released later as it still requires tests. I'm happy and expect you are too. Have fun.

MountFileSystem( 312 ) error
Hi,
Valve realized a major Source SDK Update tonight. This update broke a very important function MountFileSystem which is used by HL?DM Pro. It is causing the following engine error: "MountFileSystem( 312 ) failed: SteamMountFileSystemSystem(296,312,0xfebc74=,0xfebd74) failed with error 5: No Steam Content Servers are available"
A workaround has been found and is implemented in 1.8.2 which is still in beta stage. Due to this very big issue, we expect to release 1.8.2 earlier.
In the same time, a mail has been sent to Valve so that they find a fix to this bug.
